One Workforce Network

West Lancashire Children's Trust recognised that voluntary, community and faith sector organisations played a huge role in supporting children and young people. They wanted to support these organisations to both build on the excellent practice that existed and to help to co-ordinate their work and look at how they could work together better.

A One Workforce Network has now been developed and resources made available to co-ordinate this. Third sector organisations in West Lancashire can now access training and equipment and share good practice and their experiences to ensure quality activities are provided.

Since the network was formed:

  • 630 volunteers have been identified.
  • 72 organisations are engaged who themselves are involved with 3,000 children.
  • Additional £260,000 has been secured to support delivery.
