This website is currently under review and information may not be accurate. We are refreshing the overarching partnership priorities for children and young people in Lancashire and expect these to be published, supported by new governance arrangements, in autumn 2018.


Takeover is a national initiative organised by the Children's Commissioner that provides an opportunity for children and young people to join organisations that aim to support them so that they can learn more about what they do and offer advice about how they could do it better.  The aim is to empower children and young people in decision making.

Takeover is extremely successful in Lancashire, with lots of young people, services and organisations wanting to get involved.  Due to this success, Lancashire extends Takeover over the course of November to hold 'Takeover Month' which allows us to engage as many young people and professionals as possible.
