Local Area Agreement : Six Month Report

Progress report for the Children and Young People's Theme of the Local Area Agreement (LAA) covering the period April to September 2009.

Dear Trust Members

You will find attached a composite report from the lead officers for each of the targets in the Children and Young People's Theme (AP1) along with the most recent data on the relevant national indicators (DS1). Wherever possible this data is provided on a district footprint.

The action for the Local Children's Trust Partnership is:

- to consider the information provided in the report and make any comments from a district perspective (SF1);

- to refer to any activities that have taken place at a district level which have contributed to the improvement targets.

The returns from all twelve LCTPs will be collated and included in a full report which will then be submitted to the Lancashire Partnership.

Under ideal circumstances an LCTP would be in a position to agree its contribution at a meeting of the trust. However, given the time scales for LAA reporting it is more likely that comments will have to be made on an individual basis.

We should emphasise that detailed comments are not required. Some pointers are all that is necessary.
