Requests for Support (RFS) to the Children and Family Wellbeing Service
With effect from 1st October 2018, the Children and Family Wellbeing Service (CFW) in the County Council, will be 'going live' with its use of a new electronic management information system to help manage caseloads and offer a number of improvements for staff working with children, their families and partner agencies. This is called 'Early Help Module (EHM)' and is a module of a system called 'Liquid Logic'. You may recognise this name as you may be aware that the Children's Social Care (LCS) and Adult Social Care (LAS) systems are also part of the Liquid Logic suite. We are really pleased that by adopting EHM, we will be much better equipped to manage the transition of cases between services using the same system, ultimately for the benefit of our service users.
As you are aware, CFW delivers 'Early Help' to children, young people and their families (0-19yrs+) and any partner agency can make a 'request for support' from CFW to work with any family, for whom they have identified unmet needs at an early help level (ref: Lancashire Continuum of Need).
The method by which a partner agencies/professionals can make a 'request for support' is changing slightly in order to better integrate this with the service's new system. There will continue to be a 'Request for Support' form for you to complete with the details of the family and your outline of their needs and what support is required from CFW. We will be replacing the old 'Microsoft Word document/form' with a new 'E-Form' which should be more streamlined for you to use and when submitted to CFW, is transmitted in a secure manner to the service.
We have always made the request for support form available through the Lancashire Children's Trust website and as from 1st October you can no longer access the 'word document' but instead this will be replaced with the new 'E-RFS form'. You can go directly to the web page that hosts this form by using the following link; http://www.lancashirechildrenstrust.org.uk/resources/?siteid=6274&pageid=44490
We would be extremely grateful if you can share this information with your staff teams and other colleagues that work within your organisation and may want to continue to 'request support' from the Children and Family Wellbeing Service.
Thank you for your continuing support.
