Children and Young People's Agency Residental Services Contract: Notification of Stakeholder Event

Lancashire County Council is in the process of considering the options available to them with regards to the re-tender of the Children and Young People's Agency Residential Services Contact. The Council has already made a decision to develop a Framework Agreement which it is hoped will commence during the early part of 2016.

As part of the scoping and development work that the Council is undertaking, a Task Group (which includes representatives from Children's Social Care, Commissioning and Procurement), has been set up and that group would very much welcome a meeting with all stakeholders to obtain their views on how they think the Framework should look moving forward.  This will give the Task Group the opportunity to consider everyone's opinions in detail looking at, for example, what works well and what not so well, together with details of what you believe 'good' looks like.  Our overall remit is, of course, to ensure that any contracted services fully meet the need of Lancashire's cohort of looked after children and any additional support and views we can glean would be very much valued.

It is therefore proposed that a stakeholder event will be held in Cabinet Room D, County Hall, on Tuesday 3 February 2015 at 2.00pm - 4.00pm.  (Registration and tea/coffee will be served from 1.30pm, with a prompt start at 2.00pm).

Please confirm your organisation's intention to attend the event, with details of your nominated representative and their full contact details, to Philip Duck (Philip.duck@lancashire.gov.uk).  A full agenda will be circulated ahead of the event to allow you to give consideration to the contribution you will be able to make on the day.  Because of the likely high interest and also taking into account health and safety considerations, we will need to restrict each organisation to nominating one member of staff to attend.  Please do not send additional representatives on the day as it is likely they will be turned away as we simply will not have the space to accommodate them.

This is an opportunity for your organisation to put forward your views and be involved in 'having your say' which will help us to develop this piece of work.  It will also give you an opportunity to meet with key people within the Council across Children's Social Care, Commissioning and Procurement.

If you have any queries, please contact Philip Duck at the address above.
