Family Information Service

The Family Information Service have produced a range of booklets offering support and guidance to parents and carers in order to assist them in deciding on the best possible childcare for their children.

The aim of the Family Information Service (FIS) is to provide a wide range of guidance to assist parents and carers in making decisions about the best childcare for their children.  Guidance includes information around the various types of childcare available; information with regard to paying for child care and advice about rights when returning to work including maternity and paternity entitlement.

To ensure this information is widely accessible to parents and carers the FIS have produce a collection of guidance booklets to be shared throughout networks.  The leaflets - 'Types of childcare to choose from', 'What to look for when choosing childcare' and 'Paying for childcare' - can be downloaded below.

Further information regarding the FIS can be accessed through the following website: Lancashire Family Information Service.
