Coaching for Excellence: A Framework

The Lancashire Children and Young People's Trust Workforce Strategy has cited coaching as one of its priorities within 'Strong and Effective Leadership; a Highly Motivated, Resilient Workforce that Strives for Continuous Improvement'.

Coaching is a rapidly growing approach that aims to help people to improve, develop and identify personal strategies for action; it can help people find personal success, achieve goals, manage life and address personal challenges.  Coaching is powerful as it empowers individuals to consider a range of solutions to challenges they have and it can enhance personal performance, leadership and organisational development.

The Framework, developed for the CYP Trust workforce, can be downloaded below and sets out the key elements of coaching, how it can enable effective leadership and how to make it work.
