Event 7 November 2013:
This conference has been organised by CCATS and Northern Care with the aim of supporting professionals in developing their knowledge when working with young people who have histories of sexually harmful behaviour and/or a history of being at risk of or exposed to sexual exploitation.
The event aims to combine key academic knowledge with practical application that is valuable, empirically sound, and able to support professional development of delegates in their day to day work. It is hoped that the conference will create discussion and debate around these topical areas, with clear implications for practice.
Key Note Speakers:
Dr. Joanne Bryce: Challenges in addressing the technological mediation of the sexual exploitation of children.
Dr Gabrielle Tracy McClelland: A multi-method study identifying barriers and solutions to meeting the physical and psychological health needs of young people involved in or vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
