Event 6 March - Turning off the tap of new smokers

This conference has been organised by NHS North Lancashire and Tobacco Free Lancashire with the aim of finding effective ways of engaging young people so as to `make smoking history for children'.

This event will be an opportunity to explore a range of interventions which are being or could be used in Lancashire. How do we make tobacco less attractive, affordable, accessible and acceptable to children and young people? How do we work with young people who are addicted to tobacco?

The keynote speaker will be Professor Amanda Amos, Centre for Population Health Sciences, University of Edinburgh, who has carried out extensive research into what works with young people.

The event will take place:

  • Wednesday 6th March 2013
  • 10:00 to 15:00 - registration at 09:30
  • Lancaster House Hotel, Lancaster LA1 4GJ

Further details are available below.  Please register your name by completing the attached registration form and returning to Sue Hornshaw by 19 February 2013.
