Contribute and Engage Priority Group

On 7 October 2011, Lancashire Children and Young People's Trust Board agreed proposals to ensure the CYP Trust is fit for purpose in delivering the aspirations and priorities of the Children and Young People's Plan (CYPP).  One key decision taken by the Trust Board was to close the five ECM Theme Groups and to replace these with four Priority Groups to enable partner collaboration that is better aligned to the priorities within the CYPP.

The main role of the Contribute and Engage Priority Group is to:

  • Drive and deliver priorities within the CYPP: CYPP Priority 5: Children and young people access and make effective use of a range of positive activities in their spare time and CYPP Priority 6: All of Lancashire's children and young people make a positive contribution, regardless of their background or circumstances
  • Provide support and challenge around related District CYP Trust priorities
  • Respond to specific tasks and activity as determined by Lancashire CYP Trust Board and Partnership
  • Champion the contribution and engagement of children and young people across Lancashire

The priority group is made up of members representing a range of partners delivering services for children, young people and their families and is chaired by Graham Whalley - Chief Officer, Young Lancashire.

The group meets four times a year.
