Children and Young People's Plan 2014-17

This three year strategy sets out how we want to work alongside children, young people and families and in doing so, the outcomes we want them to achieve. It is a statement of our collective ambition for how services, teams and individuals involved in improving the wellbeing of children and young people will work together in a way that provides the best support.

Developing the Plan

The Plan has been developed through analysis of data and information, through consultation with partners and most importantly, through talking to Lancashire's children and young people. Over 2,000 children and young people told us what Lancashire is like now, what they would like it to be in the future, and what will help them to get there.  A full report and summary has been produced to share the findings of the children and young people's consultation.

Our key outcomes

All of this has informed the key outcomes for the Plan and these are:

  • To feel safe
  • To do well
  • To be happy
  • To be healthy
  • To be listened to

Sharing our Plan

We've listened to the views of our workforce and our children and young people and as result we have decided to do something different this time for sharing our plan.

For this plan we have published the plan online so that you can easily read and share our updated vision.  To see it in full download the plan

We have also produced a short video to communicate our vision in a more engaging way. You can watch it below. Please let us know what you think.

About the making of this video
This video was produced with help from a group of children and young people.  They helped us commission the production company, plan the content and they have supported each other in starring in the film.
